Pre-Installed Post Processor

Due to there being several hundred controllers in the industry that BobCAD support and each one having their own special formatting, BobCAD has decided to install the most popular mill post processors in the industry so that users don’t have to go to the main web page to find their post. The primary reasoning why the software does not include every post is to reduce the size of the software during the install while still being able to pre-install the vast majority of posts that our customers uses. 

Pre-Installed Post 

In the latest version of the software, BobCAD comes installed with a total of 70 Mill Post, 60 Wire EDM Post, and 12 Lathe Post Processors.  These post processors are constantly being reviewed and as post become more popular, the development team and posting team will modify the pre-installed post to account for these changes.  After installing the software, the default mill post and lathe post can be found in the folders located below: 

Mill Post: C:\BobCAD-CAM Data\BobCAD-CAM V##\Posts\Mill 

Lathe Post: C:\BobCAD-CAM Data\BobCAD-CAM V##\Posts\Lathe 

Wire EDM Post: C:\BobCAD-CAM Data\BobCAD-CAM V##\Posts\Wire EDM 

What if My Post is Not Pre-Installed? 

If the post that is needed was not installed with the software then all available post can be found at bobcadsupport.com. After logging in to the support portal, all available post can be found by clicking on Post Processors on the left and then selecting “Download Post Processors”.  If the post is not in the download a post processor list then the Request a Post button can be selected to open a ticket with the posting department so that they can create the missing post.
