Using BobCAD-CAM with Microsoft Windows Vista Operating SystemsOfficially, all current versions of the BobCAD-CAM software will work on Microsoft Windows Vista.
It has been found in testing that due to the way that Microsoft Windows Vista handles OpenGL graphics, better performance may be attained by using Vista Home Premium or greater and not Vista Home Basic. Upon request, computers with Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed are still available through many computer retail outlets.
Instructions for modifying the permissions for the BobCAD software programs can be found here:
Running BobCAD-CAM Applications with Microsoft Windows Vista
Before upgrading any existing Microsoft Windows 98/2000/XP machine to Microsoft Windows Vista it is highly recommend to consult a Computer Repair technician.
BobCAD-CAM V23 is designed as a 32-bit application for Windows operating systems. While this is the case, the installer has been configured so that all of the files are installed to the correct directories on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems. BobCAD-CAM V23 will operate properly within a 64-bit operating system, using the installation location determined by the installer.
